Hey, I’m Ollie — I’m all about chasing light and catching moments, especially when there are wings involved. Aviation photography is my main thing, but I’m always down to shoot whatever looks cool from behind the lens. Just a camera, a clear sky, and a love for all things that fly.
The Canon 1000D was my first DSLR, and it's still a reliable part of my kit. With its 10.1-megapixel sensor, it might not be the newest camera out there, but it’s taught me a lot about framing, light, and composition. I love how lightweight and straightforward it is—it lets me focus on the moment rather than fussing with settings. Whether I’m capturing portraits or experimenting with street photography, this little camera still delivers sharp, clean images with character.
The Sigma DG 50-500mm lens —affectionately known as the "Bigma"—is one of my favorite tools when I’m shooting aviation or anything that needs serious reach. The 50-500mm zoom range gives me tons of flexibility, and the image quality it produces still impresses me, especially for such a wide range. It’s a bit hefty, but the trade-off is worth it when I’m able to get tight shots from far away without disturbing the scene. Whether I’m tracking aircraft in flight or capturing distant landscapes, this lens always pulls through.
